Pagl, Am just thinking this through... and just curious...

I wonder what is the advantage of saying you will be 'avoiding away games' ? Do you think that approach might be likely to encourage the players to score the away goal you feel you deserve ?

I personally think football is a two way approach. The fans inspire the players and the players inspire the fans. One can't exist without the other. Our fans incredible away support will have inspired the players. They will have felt that energy of Wrexham Town. Wrexham Town travels well, like Wrexham Lager.

I do agree we will need some extra funds for an extra boost during the season. That's all good. Sam is doing very well so far and its only his first season.

Mps,
Yes I do think fans count in modern football. But I agree it has become terribly unbalanced. Thats why I'm helping to curate a book about it, FANDOM through the eyes of the fans.

Yes I agree modern day football is vastly more about money than it was 40 years ago. In my personal view that chasm is what is slowly killing the beautiful game.

Which in turn makes Fans owned clubs more important than ever.

We have a great opportunity at Wrexham Football Club to change the landscape of football with our own footprint. Our history and turn-around club story is much stronger than many other clubs.

We just need to figure out how to unlock it. That potential...

It's a creative process rather than a territorial process.

The creation culture starts on the terraces as well as in the midfield of the pitch.

Avoiding away games as I am increasingly frustrated at the poor performances that occur when a big following turns out. Been at Alty, Stockport, Southport, Hyde...………..Solihull and the list goes on.

Its doesn't cost the club any money with it being an away game so why put myself through it.

I don't feel I deserve a goal but a performance would not go amiss.

He hates other Wrexham fans, that much is clear. All he does is moan at other people’s opinions on here and rarely offers his own. Not sure why he bothers

To become Champions...

I feel we need to direct a little more sunshine over the Racecourse.

Let the light back in.

I personally feel there are still some undercurrents of the darkside remaining, due to the hostility caused by those gentlemen with ulterior motives, who didn't truly love Wrexham AFC with all of their heart.

Thats very understandable, it was a dark period for our club so we all need to help unlock it. Get rid of it. Let it go...

There is a shirt for sale on a website. It's the Number 3 shirt Dave Fogg wore when we played Anderlecht in 1976. In the quarter final of the European Cup Winners Cup.

For those others lucky enough to have been at the home match, you will understand when I say, it was the day I fell in love with Wrexham AFC. It was the day when everything changed. We had a shiny new black programme designed by our goalkeeper Brian Lloyd. It looked awesome. Brian is a vey talented man. And when we ran out onto the pitch we looked like Kings of Europe in our shiny new adidas kit. Like 11 resplendent Welsh goliaths. Especially with King Billy in attack.

Billy was so good Anderlecht wanted to sign him after that match, Our board turned the offer down. Billy was too good. Too good for Anderlecht, even though they had two dutch world cup winning footballers in their side. They still couldn't stop us scoring first and going 1-0 up through Stuart Lee.

When that goal went in, it felt like the Racecourse was going to explode. My dad threw me so high up into the air I thought I was going headfirst down into the paddock below me. I really was scared. Thanks dad for catching me on the way down.

So that shirt of Foggy's is special. Very, very special.

It represent how great our club is.

Its our amazing history that will give us strength going forward as a fans owned club.

Apparently the bloke at the other end in Madrid wants about €800 euros for it. I actually think that shirt is priceless. Its worth its weight in gold. It should be on display at the Racecourse Ground in the light for everyone to see it and to understand our clubs history. Not locked away in Madrid in the shade out of the sunlight.

So as a force of collective positive karma, I am wondering if anyone from Red Passion would like to start helping to crowdfund for it, to bring it home ? Home to the Racecourse...
800 fans with £1 each would smash the lid off it.
We would be home and dry...

I am throwing my £1 in and Mark Currie has already thrown in a tenner... Thanks Mark.

This is where some get confused. It’s not negative at all, that’s more horse shit, it’s simply reality.

Is that the same chicken Currie that sided with every shit house owner we’ve had and slagged the fans off and is too ignorant to apologise for getting it so wrong?

Short memory you’ve got.
