Posted this in the General Footy sub forum but thought would whack it here as a compare and contrast.

Have a read of Last years accounts now published | Devachat for how not to run a club

- club makes a loss
- tribunal papers not filed when CEO said they were
- not enough interest for board election
- one candidate is making fans very unhappy
etc etc

That is aside from their 'stadium' still being under 10 foot of flood water from that hurricane

They might be playing at Macclesfield as their ground is still knackered!

To keep on topic, I thought it was worth posting to show as an example of what not to do, and the dangers of an unengaged fanbase.

Amusingly the only club that gets any credit on there appears to be.... Wrexham!

We have a reciprocal agreement on democratic stuff, useful for them as Chester fans as they have a live education programme on simple addition and various basic maths skills

I see it lists approx £45k for Rent & rates.

How much do we budget annually for the Racecourse lease ? Was it something like £100k?

Some take running the football club for granted, this shows the importance fans cooperation and engagement,

Feel a little sorry for the small minority who care for there club

They are in a mess again by the looks of it. Imagine if they had a big debt to turn around like we had??

Macclesfield is their ( NOT "there" ) spiritual home anyway haha. When i first started going to Wrexham Games in 1990, thats where they were playing their fixtures for a few seasons. So maybe they SHOULD go home.
