A good guy to,

Him and Akil Wright both had a lot of time for my lad when we bumped into them at the shop, has helped me persuade him to come along to most games so far this season.

Fair play to the lad.

I've worked for both accountancy firms & investment management companies which employ lots of actuaries.

Accountants add & subtract whereas actuaries multiply & divide so actuaries are smarter

...is the formula for the basic joke.

I can understand why Rickette does not want him playing 90 mins twice a week, therefore needs to sub him

This means , of course, that there is a requirement for another big number 9.

If everything was going well and we were scoring more goals / taking the lead perhaps he would get more game time. I think Ricketts just tries to change things as per Solihull & Halifax - I have noticed he seems to regularly make his first change after about the 60 minute mark - sometimes just a change of personnel to a different style of player with fresh eager legs can make the difference.

After a hectic start to the season with games a plenty things should settle down to a game a week - most weeks.

Whilst watching the Halifax game anyone have the same thought as me ? I wonder if Hinds is close to being tried ? We are short of that little bit of extra pace, individuality, goal scoring prowness in the final third - too many players are drifting in and out of the game. JMD has obvious talent but has been quiet in the last few matches. I don't think we move the ball 'forward' fast enough at times - too much pussyfooting about with it - continually passing it across the middle then too often laboured and frequently backwards - after a few goals early on Big Mike and the team have not been scoring much of late - taking 5 points from the last available 12 tells it's own story.

Think someone needs to get closer to 'Big Mike' - he's often too isolated.

He's a very intelligent guy who is very thoughtful about the way he expresses himself. He told our media team he chose England because he knew football was part of the culture here. After his debut he said it was his first time playing in front of "fans like these". He's got the bug now. I thought he was by far our biggest loss during the summer, although Fullarton says his 5 goals in 12 games for us didn't justify what he was asking for to sign a contract. Good luck to Big Mike and good luck to Wrexham. I would LOVE it if we could both go up this year.
