Does the hard yards and covers every blade of grass....always puts a shift in for the team from minute 1 to 90. Yes his pass selection goes astray now and then but that doesnt rattle him...he just gets on with his game. He will be one of our key players this season. Needs to progress his game in Lge 2 next season......hopefully with us😉

There is a very good player inside Akil, provided he improves his positional play and his passing.

He's worked his socks off this season. He breaks up play as good as any midfielder in the league and is very strong on the ball. Imagine if he had a few goals in him...

However I'm surprised he was chosen, his style of play doesn't usually lend itself to getting recognition and individual accolades, so kudos to Vanarama and/or the National League for picking him. Well deserved and hopefully this proves to him that his efforts aren't ignored.

I think that keates was concerned about the lack of chances and goals and decided rightly that a central midfield of Wedgebury and Wright was too defensive. So he moved Kelly inside and used Deverdics on the left. It didn’t work and we lost some defensive solidity but I can see what he was trying.
