Nobody has really mentioned we’ve missed Wedgbury and the majority of fans were gutted when he left, it shows the hard work Akil is doing on the pitch, was a great bit of business by Keates getting him on a 3 year contract, sadly I expect scouts to be looking at him but let’s hope he’s a league 2 player with Wrexham next season, fingers crossed!

Agreed, plus Akil was the first player in a long long time Wxm have signed with the future in mind. MFT seems to be second one and it is a good news story we have these 2 on 2 year deals. Akil was very hit and miss last term, often his second touch was a tackle, but he has obviously worked hard and improved his game. Despite not looking great at it pre-season, I still think Akil has all the attributes to be a good centre back, but for now he seems to be progressing to be a key member in our midfield, hopefully freeing up the other 2 players to getting the team playing higher up the pitch.
