Not sure what your point is in reply to my post.
Injuries are part and parcel of the season. Thats why Carra was retained.

Great start and need a few more goals from different positions. Managed 1 today at bottom of the league.

Sometimes bottom teams are the most difficult, we may have had them at the best time but still 0-1 is a cracking result.

3 points is the total that matters and another good away win.
My points are things we need to work on. Goal scoring from midfield and the work rate of Fondop and Drew.

I know what you mean, but those 2 aren't a Ruthers or is Ruthers a MFT or JMD. Horses for courses and SDR seems to have a good mix.

Much better than expected. I agree we need a bit more up top, a Danny wright type would be good.

We need to push on at home. 3 points next Saturday is a must
If Ebbsfleet play like they did tonight, our goal difference will be very healthy come 5pm next Saturday

I agree that we are 2 players short of a title team in terms of a midfield general and CF. There is still not enough goals in this team especially from the midfield.

I think we have carried JMD in the last few games and I think Fondop has to knuckle down a bit in the work rate front.

Sam appears to be a tinkerer which may need a bit of luck to pay off.
I think he also needs to address this slow start to games and maybe this because of the tinkering.

I would say 7.5 out of 10 for performance and 21 out of 30 for points
Goal scoring wise at present there are 4 teams better than us but yet again we are clear top on goals conceded. When you consider that we have had to change the back 4 on several occasions and sustain the loss of a key centre back on a long term injury that is rather impressive. As Clough once said “if you don’t concede you will not lose many games”
In a perfect world we would find a Lampard and Vardy but i suspect we will have to work with what we have. Pyke for example is now a goal scoring front man and that will do his confidence a lot of good. The man everyone wanted to have a contract extension two weeks ago is struggling to find the net at present so now of course RP (not you) decides that he has an attitude problem. We are for sure carrying MD but isn’t it good that we are doing so and still have 21 from 10 ? I believe he can do things that are way above our standard but he needs confidence and the right set-up which we are changing currently from game to game.

While your 7.5 is statistically spot on based on points garnered I would point out that unlike last season our entertainment marking ( Solihull excepted ) is fo me 8.5

Much better than i thought it would be. Consider we have had quite a few injuries across the squad and the line up hasn't really been settled were doing well. Next ten games though i think will define the season. If we can keep our current points total up against tougher opponents then it bodes well.
