He did OK. First half him and Pearson were a bit too far apart at times and Pearson was lucky to get away with a mistake when he missed a cross from the right wing.

Second half they were better. Braintree went more route 1 and that played into Lawlors hands as he’s a big lad and won every header.

Pearson was much improved second half. Aside from the goal he made a brilliant
‘Bobby Moore V Brazil’ style tackle when Braintree were well positioned.

I was worried with Manny being out for so long but second half these two looked really solid together.

We've got to remember Lawlor hadn't been playing before he slotted in Tuesday night, the same as Walker yesterday. SDR has a full week now to have them working on things, let alone upping their fitness levels.
