It's probably alien to us as nobody can rest on their laurels as if they lack effort and or form they can easily be replaced. It sounds like Hinds has then suffered two consecutive injuries so until he returns to fitness he's on hold.

He comes to us with a good reputation - if he is indeed extremely fast then it is an attribute that can make a difference in the right places - but how many wide men with extreme pace do we see now ? it seems a rare commodity for a winger to take on a full back, and as others have commented the player on the ball always seems to take the safe option - stops and goes backwards - it's as though wingers are frightened of taking a risk and possibly losing the ball.

Kosylo has impressed - but he now seems a rare breed - perhaps Hinds will give us what we are craving for - I would think at some point he will get his chance.

Unfortunately under Ricketts news about current players / injuries doesn't seem so forthcoming as it used to be. Manny was reportedly out for 6 - 8 weeks (speculation ?) and then appears on the subs bench on Saturday. Would it be so bad to keep the fanbase better informed ?
Manny was not on the subs bench likely to be out in months not weeks.

Thanks - that's weird as it was on Saturday - didn't go to Braintree but Manny was named pre match on the BBC site team sheet as a sub which cascaded onto the live match thread.

I see now he has been removed from the BBC site 'as a sub'.

Still, back to my point - very little news coming out of the camp as to the extent of players injuries and how long they are likely to be out for.

Thats frustrating and i suppose it can lead to stupid speculation. In Hinds case ive heard off two people he has a niggling injury. Better he gets it sorted and fit than we risk him and lead to a worse injury. I doubt clubs would be willing to send player here if we did that.

I was at Braintree on Saturday.

Manny was injured, not in squad.

Unfortunatly we are in non-league and mistakes happen! Braintree were responsible for printing the team sheets....they made a mistake it should have been 14 rutherford not 4 M smith!

No suprise.....the programmes didnt get delivered til after the match and the lines markings on the pitch werent finished until 14:10 (50 mins before kick off)

Perhaps Sam doesnt want the extent of the injury getting out as an advantage 9although very small) against other clubs not knowing he is defnitley out?

But lets just jump on the bash the club bandwagon #factnotfiction

There's an article on the BBC regards Manny being out for 8 to 10 weeks
