He will not always get it right but he has the courage of his conviction which I really like in a manager.
His subs are also thoughtful and usually performed when they have a chance to actually influence the outcome.
I’ve liked him from the start but don’t want to get carried away like the buffoons calling for his head after Telford.

Agree that could be a risk of over complicating things if keep changing things but that was wonderful yesterday. The difference in playing that close passing game just a bit further up up the field had all the impact.

Good performances all over the pitch (I too think Jennings is our weak link but Roberts was good yesterday) but personally I thought Beavon deserves special mention. Contributed well, that finish was better than it looks and didn’t stop.

Can’t make Sutton but roll in Harrogate.

Lainton 7- looked a bit uneasy at times no chance with their goal which was poorly defended.

Roberts 7- lacks pace going forward but had a good game.

Lawlor 9- close to mom an excellent signing.

Pearson 8- what more can be said about captain fantastic.

Jennings 5- simply put not good enough a liability imho

Walker 8- not matchfit yet and will get even better, Wright will struggle to get back in

Rutherford 7- workrate excellent

Summerfield 9- Mom another quality display by him he is better than this level his signing by Sam was a bargain.

Pyke 7- would of been an 8 if had more stamina what a player we have here.

Holroyd 7- great first half inevitably tired in the second due to lack of matchfitness.

Beavon 8- he just gets better and better the fitter he gets.

All the subs 6

Roberts 7 better in first half but so assured
Jennings 5 needless booking and the couldn't risk a mis times tackle
Lawlor 8 very assured
Pearson 8 Captain's performance
Walker 7 it was almost too easy for him. Got caught a couple of times but very good.
Summerfield 9 motm great signing
Rutherford 8 there will be more difficult games but her never hides.
Pyke 8 great goal
Bevon 8 almost motm I bet he'll sleep well tonight! Ran his legs off
Holroyd 7 started it all off well played
The Manager 10 - who wanted him sacked after the Telford game? His enthusiasm from the side when we were 4-1 up was incredible.
Just one little moan re Lainton. I just wish he would come out to collect a little bit more. otherwise very good.

This is a major part of our game prep. Very professional, IMHO.
