Simply to indicate to the viewers which way the clubs are kicking I would suggest. It also gives a natural break in the proceedings and a chance for the commentator to say a few key words.

They also tend to show the end of HT and the FT whistle.

their goal is disappointing, Roberts just chilling not closing down. Other than that what a fantastic game! Well in Wrexham!!

Really happy with how Pyke is playing, after his last spell with us he seems to have improved quite a bit.
