Didn't Burgess come on at Solihull and fail to impress?
From what I recall he came on around the hour mark and didn't touch the ball properly for the remainder of the game. Looked physically lightweight, but also disinterested, which was more worrying for someone making a debut.

Agree on Hinds though.
I would be interested to see what that lad can do as he seems highly rated at his parent club.

From what he has said they wouldn't have any intention letting him go permanently and certainly wouldn't think we could afford him.
Let's enjoy him when we can then

The Solihull game needs to be consigned to the archives as it was just a complete and utter shambles. It would seem from the team selection/rotation etc. since this game then Sam learned a lot and as stated at the time it wasn't about losing it was about the performance and attitude.

The Burgess situation was completely baffling - as you say he didn't touch the ball in 30 minutes and the first thing he had to do was mark their midfielder and he was left trailing in his wake and in all fairness it was embarrassing for him.
I would not expect him to feature again unless we have major injury problems.

How he was part of Maccs title winning team is quite baffling but that must be testament to how good Danny Whitaker was.

Its not so much stating what selection you think should be put out, more trying to guess what selection SR will make......could be a new game...

You've changed your tune - in relation to the signing of Pyke you posted :

"We better see a proven striker like Cheek come in or it's another nothing season."

and
"Our forward line on paper looks pathetic"

and
"I honestly thought we were about to sign Cheek, a lad with a proven record at this level, how stupid of me."

You just gonna chastise people for being positive now instead of enjoying our good run of form with fellow fans? Doesn’t serve a purpose.

I stand by each one of those comments.

The first could still be true, I hope to god it isn't.
The second quote still stands but that was before we signed Maguire Drew.
If I had a choice between Cheek and Pyke I'd still go for Cheek.
The last one still stands.
