Food festival this weekend (and other events)
I was speaking with the pair organising the food festival in town this weekend and the club or similar are not there (I appreciate it is a food, not football festival) but do we still have Wrex and co out and about with stalls etc?
I realise it is a time thing on already pressed volunteers - but if this is something that is done, or restarting or available for key events regionally I figured there must be a loose network of people on here and elsewhere who can be tapped up to get the club on peoples radars who are not footy fans. That could end up meaning free stalls, cross promotions or similar. There is a christmas lights switch on this year that is usually family friendly, and the council are putting on the victorian christmas market as usual, but also a christmas 'village' too - so could be some milage on tapping them up too to see what could be on offer? :toff: |

I went to the Beaumaris Food Festival on Anglesey a couple of weeks ago. Brilliant event and a real showcase for the island and North Wales. Wrexham Lager had a large stall doing good trade at £3 per pint.
What actually made the event was the total lack of sport of any kind. Just food, drink and local crafts. |

Re: Food festival this weekend (and other events)
definite gap in the market should be trying to tap into these kind of events raises the profile of the club and sell some merchandice at the same time.

Re: Food festival this weekend (and other events)
So many people associate football with negative issues like crowd violence, obscene chanting, drunkenness, and Chester that introducing them to the positive aspects of our community club would be beneficial all round. However, a carefully planned way of presenting those aspects at diverse events such as Food Festivals, Craft Fairs, Game Fairs, Bangor Race Meetings etc without making them seem trivial and uninteresting to the majority attending would be essential. It is definitely worthy of promoting though.... The Stuff of Champions!
