Looking at the league table we are yet to achieve a win against anyone in the upper part of the table - Solihull, Sutton, Fylde & Halifax.
is this a barometer of how good we actually are ?
Unfortunately same pattern as last season at the moment

We're we prepared for today?
After their midweek loss it was obvious they would start the game strongly.

Unchanged 11 OK seems reasonable given last weeks first half but surely we should have competed with them. Game lost by HT and then concede again 6 minutes into 2nd when we needed to keep it to 2 and try and Nick a goal.

I think a lot of players have a soft underbelly and when the going gets tough they are found out. A quick chance midweek to make amends so let's see if they have the stomach for the fight.

Boreham Wood won 4-0 on Tuesday on Sutton’s “plastic crap”

Orient won 3-0 on Harrogate’s “plastic crap” today.

Maybe we lost today because we were crap on the day.

Boreham Wood have got a 'plastic crap' pitch too.

Whilst we remained unchanged, Geraint Parry's match report on the official site states they made no less than 6 changes to the team that lost so heavily in mid week to Boreham Wood.

No stand out team is running away with the league - and there are not many points separating the top end - however Salford have clawed back the 6 point advantage we had over them recently and Leyton Orient I feel will be a major threat - still unbeaten.

We will miss the influence of Summerfield.

Harrogate will be in the same boat as Sutton were today - after being beaten at home 0 - 3 by Orient they will also want to 'bounce back' on Tuesday.

Utter nonsense blaming a plastic pitch. We lost because we were well below par and they were not by all accounts. Can’t win them all but bitterly disappointing to be beaten this way after a great performance last week. Need to avoid defeat on Tuesday for me and then win back at the Racecourse on Sat.

I half expected this result after Sutton got spanked on Tuesday. They were clearly going to react and ensure it didn't happen again. Maybe the opposite for us, maybe after Ebbsfleet some players thought we were better than we actually are.
The pitch will be a factor but we have to play on them so suck that up.
From someone who went today the feedback was we were second best in everything. Too many players went missing and not enough passion.
We are a good team, no doubt. But we aren't a great team. Yet.
Plenty of time to improve but we mustn't lose ground on the pacesetters.
We need to start games faster and press the opposition more. Not good enough to be champions IMO but good enough for the playoffs provided complacency does not come an issue
