The manager who did things tough needed to be more expansive. And the manager who is trying to be more expansive needs to start doing it tough. Don't ever change RP.

Who said they’re mutually exclusive!?
Good teams can do both approaches and adapt accordingly.

In the play offs last year.
Of course, they may end up in the playoffs this season.
My point is, what happened last season has no bearing on this season. Our results against current top sides aren't the best and it's this season that's relevant.

…but we’ve only played Fylde and Boreham Wood at home.

It’s a marathon not a snickers. We need to stay in contention and if that means beating the weaker sides, so be it. I doubt we’re that good but who is?

To win games you have to do the hard work to allow flare players to play.
All good teams also get the basics right. You need the combination of toughness which is the spine of the team and expansive is a few flare or wide players that can use the space effectively and run at the opposition.

A good team will always be a combination and not one dimensional.

Two points per game might suggest we're a good team who just happened to lose a game. God knows I of all people will not stop you all from moaning but I'd politely suggest before thread titles like the above can be discussed with any credibility we'd have to have had a couple more slappings than we've had. We'll learn a lot over the next week; a repeat performance or two would indicate a gap between us and the best but it's been a decent start hasn't it? It's quite remarkable how quickly the desire for a change comes. Teams aren't being allowed to breathe.

We do seem to struggle still against the bigger more physical sides still as seen in our two defeats. That's always seemed to be an issue though since ive supported the club.

People would be daft to suggest we haven’t had a good start.

However this doesn’t mean people can’t comment on some weaknesses that we’ve shown and noting their concerns regarding a few things.

Personally I think it’s a complacent attitude just to say “Ah well we lost, can’t win them all, never mind” without actually analysing why and what went wrong.
Defeats are an inevitability, we won’t win every game, but it’s always the manner of defeat that needs to be looked upon. Good teams (potential champions) won’t have a complacent attitude and will look closely at why a game was lost and what weaknesses need to be rectified.

Just because people are critical of the manner of defeat it doesn’t mean they aren’t aknowledging a positive start. It means they’re looking closely at what went wrong in order to reduce the likelihood of a similar defeat or a repeat performance.

It staggers me how many people just don’t get this.

“Nid da lle gellir gwell” as they say in Welsh.
