Re: Squad For Barnet
I think Fondop has to start because he seems like the only striker who's actually getting in the right areas. He might be missing a few but at least he's having chances

having watched the Harrogate highlights you have to feel for the lad - he did everything but score and on another night against a lesser keeper could have had a goal or to. He looked to be our greatest threat and is the only target man with a bit of height and power - seems to win his fair share of ball to feed onto others. JMD in comparison looked toothless - perhaps the type of player who can conjure a goal from nothing with some special talent - but can we afford to wait around for those rare moments of magic ? Not sure if Fondop has been tried with the likes of Holroyd, Pyke or Beavon in a 3 man attack - perhaps if Pyke is still out with injury it could be an option. |

Agree, that being said he hadn't played the last few games so maybe with a run in the side again he can start finding the net. Also agree that he needs more support, it's too much to expect someone to lead the line themselves in their first season as a pro.

IMO he needs to apply himself better during the game, he has pace an ability but seems to lack the courage to stay out wide and use them. |

I've only seen him once 'live' at Braintree where he was completely anonymous first half. With his back to goal he was powder puff. Then second half Roberts started making runs behind him into the space and they looked good as a partnership. Undoubtedly has some flair as witnessed by his shot from inside his own half that went over the bar. Just seems to go missing a bit though. |
