This is a strange one.

I have searched my vast music collection and found nothing.

What I did find was 'Wrexham is the name' and 'This is Arfon Griffiths speaking' but they were after the late 70's League Div 3 Championship season. Also the fabulous 'We're going to score the Wrexham way' by the Brymbo MVC - which again was late 70's / early 80's.

Really need more clues as can't find anything - the suggestion that 1978 was the year seems strange as it would be a clash with what was produced. Nothing on Kerry Gilmore seems to exist.

How about the lyrics ? might be some clues in there about the time the CD was produced.

I did find Midnight Hustle's 'Dragons on Fire' which was produced under the reign of Dean Saunders and included the team at the time plus Stan Boardman and a lot of others.

I had this, but don't now. Here are some lyrics from memory

Maaagic we can do magic
Maaaagic we can do maaaagic

Shout it out
let it be known about
This is Wrexham town
The place where I was born

Players chant WREXHAM near the end

I have this on my music collection I think it was brought out around the time we played Boston I know Chris Llewlyn was in the side at the time as he was present in the town Centre during an event possibly Christmas and was produced in a studio in Borras that was being used by a group I think called five not that sure but I think it was around the time when the Dragons are on fire was released definitely late 90s early 2000
