Created more today than half a dozen games last season. We are a Rooney or Bonne short of winning the league.

He did but we also saw some of his frailties and Ruthers wad the better option late on with them in the ascendancy. Good move to change to 5 across the middle but thought SDR should have got fresh legs on 15 minsutes earlier.

For all his faults and frustrations, Maguire-Drew was our most creative player today, whilst Beavon worked really hard up front and was my MotM.

It was 3 points, and we move on. But the midfield is still not working, and the more I see of Lawlor the less convinced I become.

Two tricky away games either side of an important FA Cup Qualifier. Need to win all 3.

Finally, where is Hines? If he couldn't get on the bench today he must be one very naughty boy!
Obviously no away game is easy but looking at the form Dagenham and Chesterfield you'd have to be disappointed with any less than 6 points, 4 absolute minimum.

Agreed, wouldn't mind Quigley back in Jan though arguably we need even better

That was a very sloppy performance. To suggest Beavon didn't last is very unfair. He worked far harder than the other two strikers and set Pyke up. We might have scored more, we might have lost through bad passing.

Where is Findop? He would have had fun today..

Agree with most of that but Walker played very well?! He was poor again for me, as he has been in the 3 other games I've seen him in. Basic on the ball, doesn't break enough play up to be the 'Enforcer' and hasn't won a great deal of 2nd ball. Akil should be playing that role ahead of walker in my opinion!

Thought Lawlor had a much better game today, especially with Pearson looking ropey on numerous occasions (uncharacteristically) alongside him. Still worry that our full back situation is far from ideal - Kev Roberts unfortunately not good enough.

Beavon was great today, works his socks off, wins a ridiculous amount in the air for his size and was MOM for me. Good to see JMD back to somewhere near his best, the only bit of real quality I would say we have in the side.

Nevermind how many goals we should have had, how many penalties should we have been given?

I counted at least 3 good shouts, in the first half - a hand ball on the line, Walker held back in the box and in the second half - the foul on, I think it was Young, which looked inside the box given as a freekick.

Do we need a striker? Think you have mentioned it once or twice...……...every day
