It was 3 points, and we move on. But the midfield is still not working, and the more I see of Lawlor the less convinced I become.

Two tricky away games either side of an important FA Cup Qualifier. Need to win all 3.

Finally, where is Hines? If he couldn't get on the bench today he must be one very naughty boy!
I felt we looked on the back foot for the majority of it but almost as if that was part of the tactics. Hit them on counter. We had plenty of chances but I felt it was a tactical win.

Not sure about that, a lot of luck and some good saves kept the score down first half, combined with some sloppy passing from us that stopped us from taking them to the cleaners. We weren't as good second half and like any team still in the game with 25-20 mins to go they grew in belief and we seemed to drop down to their levels. The positive is on another day we would have won very easily and even when we don't perform for 90+ minutes, we still are good enough to win games.

We have showed more quality from set plays so far tis season and it was refreshing to see that early corner move which their keeper pushed on to the bar from JMD.

It’s about time we signed Lainton.

Were you at the game?

We hit the bar twice and their keeper made a bloody good save from Pyke. With half an hour left, our intention was to retain the 3 points and not lose 2.
