The draw is only a set of numbers and the current sellers are selling from different numbered books. The app sales would simply be more numbers in the draw.

The current draw consists of paper counterfoils which go into a drum. Who would create paper counterfoils from your app or otherwise how would you marry up two wholly different systems? Remember time is at a premium.

I think us football supporters are creatures of habit.
For years I ensured I bought a match day programme - pre match from a chap near a turnstile - then he disappeared and was rediscovered inside the ground - so ignored all other distractions outside the ground knowing I could get one inside the ground - then he disappeared again - in the end I gave up. It was a case of where will they be sold this week ? has anyone seen the programme seller ?

50/50 ticket sales might be the same - it strikes me that, unless I'm mistaken you can't just go somewhere and buy one - you sit in your seat pre match and wait for the appearance of one man - that's in the Tech End - if you miss him then it's a case of perhaps next home match. I clutch my £1 coin(s) in readiness but often end up putting it back in my pocket.

I fully get the 'one system / time / drum draw but the downfall to me is the system being reliant one seller coming into the stand and chasing everyone for a sale.

The alternative raffle is pretty alien to us Tech Enders as raffle tickets never seem to be sold in our area - they have been but it's very infrequent.

Perhaps there simply are not enough volunteer sellers - agree with Pagl - it doesn't matter who runs these money making projects - what matters is the ability to sell the product and at the moment it's not working to it's full potential by any means.

Would be interesting to know what others think - especially those located in the Yale and Mold Road stands.

When you buy a ticket online or in the shop you have the option of also buying a 50/50 ticket

Understand re buying in shop but how is the physical counterfoil created , and number communicated to punter, if purchased online? I assume such purchases can be made anytime , night or day.

Sellers in Mold Road Stand at every match. Sounds like.... with problems re toilets, catering, bar, 50/50 , etc ....that GUS patrons are getting a second-class service all round.

Easy solution is to sell them on the turnstile I suppose but would this slow down entry?

We have known for a very long time the Tech End is treated as the poor relations in comparison to the other two sides of the ground - of that there is no doubt. A bit like the scene from Titanic - the third class passengers don't get much but as Jack said to Rose' Do you want to go to a real party ?'

Would have thought the intention was to make the turnstiles as cash-free as possible. Added complications of ticket selling , sorting counterfoils , and allocating cash would , I suspect, be a non-starter.
