Points deduction is never the right way to go.
Why should the majority be punished for the wrongdoing off a few morons ?
If points were being deducted we could end up with 'followers' of rival clubs generating an incident in the hope of knocking a few points off their total.
If we are to win this league we want to do it on merit - not because of the downfall / punishment of a rival.
Playing behind closed doors would be the ultimate sanction.
BUT Salford need to be examined to see if their safety infrastructure is up to National League standard - number of stewards and how much training they have undertaken (not all recruited two weeks ago).
I wonder if GMP are in attendance at Salford City games ? my thought is they are so highly involved with the likes of United, City, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale, Stockport they might not have realised there is a football club at Salford.

This. What's to stop me from going to Salford's next home game in the home end and starting a fight with the aim of getting them deducted points? It'd make strategic hooliganism a thing amongst the more mental people in a club's fanbase.

The only way Salford would be punished beoynd the usual fine for fan conduct (which will be a slap on the wrist for them as they have money coming out of their ears) is if the FA find them to have insufficient staff when it comes to stewards, and even then, it's unlikely it'll result in a points deduction.

The people I work with in Macclesfield said the supporters are made up of Manceester United hooligans ? Not sure if that's true .
He went there on Nationwide supporters day.
It could be interesting when we play them.
He said it's gone all corporate.
Fancy good like Mexican Indian etc.
Only know what I have been told.

Sadly the obsession with Salford shown by some of our fans may well turn this into a very nasty confrontation, especially if we are both in two of the top places as seems likely. However, the number of away fans in the ground is quite limited so I guess that there will be quite a lot of restrictions on who will actually get a ticket.
