Agree - SR and his staff have created an intelligent style of play that is a lot more watchable than what was on offer last season. We are in the 5th division so maybe often our players will not be able to adhere to the concept but that's ok for me.

Sadly ? Personally I am happy that we have not prostituted ourselves to Saudi billionaires.

I thought we started well and the tactic of keeping the ball and drawing them out, whilst creating space up field gave us control of the game early on and created a few half chances. We lost our way mid way first half because the ball was given away cheaply in the main by JMD and Harrogate did the same to us, controlled passing at the back. It meant they got control of the game and started to create chances, which fortunately they didn't convert. Yes second half we had a bit more purpose and energy which ultimately meant we ran out deserved winners but don't forget the other team can't score when they haven't got the ball

I agree. If there is no forward pass on we keep possession rather than trying to force a pass that isn't there, or, as you say, hoof it.

Think some people are still stuck on the days of "Kick rush" style of football. There was a phase of play in the first half where Lawlor and Lainton passed it between themselves a bit, people around me were moaning but it turned into a good move and one of the better attacking phases of the first half.

Agree with both here and I think we should do more of it, especially when we are two goals up or playing against 10 men.
Play keep ball and spread it around the pitch, get the opposition chasing shadows without getting their foot on the ball. This sort of tactic can be so demoralising for the opposition.
