Just meant that route planners use current road conditions rather than the quickest route tomorrow.
And be prepared for your phone to show you in the middle of a farmer's field for part of the journey

Cheers, although I live the Whitchurch side of Wrexham so it may actually be the quickest route, it takes 30 mins just to get to chester business park from mine for work. I will give it a look in the morning.

Go the way your sat nav says at the time, it will be the quickest route at that point in time. Don't fight technology.

I live in Stockport and it takes me about 50 minutes to get to the racecourse when I'm not in a rush and I can usually get to Cheterfield in about 70 minutes so the combined timing will be about 2 hours.

The new Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road only opened a couple of weeks ago so there is no chance of it appearing on Google Maps yet, but if you don't know the area it is well taking to save time around Stockport.

God knows what you lot would have done back in the day when we used to drive to away games in turn with a map, a few beers for the passengers and a pop quiz on the cassette... only missed one kick off in all that time Swansea away.. the one where Hector Sam got injured after 2 mins... missed it....,guess it's just a computer life now...

The new link rd IS on Google maps. Travelled to Peak District couple of weeks back. Mapping takes you a proper scenic route with lots of minor roads/villages but dont be put off. It is the quickest way.
