Default Hartlepool - hard work

A struggle second half against 10 men Hartlepool but a win is a win.

We looked nervous like we did last Saturday at the end against Chesterfield when we conceded a late goal.

But we are still joint top of the league and with a run of goals from the forwards we will be genuine contenders.

Three points, another clean sheet and Summerfield to return. Few of the teams near the top also dropped points. Would make easier viewing/listening for fans if we could’ve got a couple more goals

You’ll be waiting forever for a run of goals from our forwards.
We will not be promoted without getting reinforcements up top who have some cutting edge and guile to score.

Worst performance of the season.

Pyke was dreadful.

JMD played ok.

We need to stop trying to hang on to one nil wins.

Should be doing better against ten men but that's the Wrexham way. Strikers are just not firing, something that needs sorting in January if the play offs are to be reached. This has last season written all over it at the moment but I am hopeful SR will address the issues.

All this makes the Hinds continuing omission baffling. With his pedigree could well be a goalscorer at this level however seems we will never find out. Walker can be replaced within the squad and JMD and Beavon need a rest from time to time.

We are generally picking up points though despite not playing particularly well a lot of the time. At some point of the season you have to think we will hit a run of form. Personally I think Salford are where they are because they're performing at their maximum whilst we are here by under performing.

Tbh not a good night from him but I see more in Walker than Wright.
Summerfield is the main man in our midfield.
