They loaned him, but hardly played a game for them. He hasn't started one league game and usually came on with minutes to play. He hasn't featured even on the bench during the last couple of weeks.

That’s a decent midfield.None of this 2 defensive midfielder rubbish.

Holroyd, Hinds, Burgess and Deverdics to go.

I agree. In probably in the minority these days but still think fondop has something to offer but hes clearly not leading the line well enough at the minute and we need someone who will. Out wide is an issue as last night both jmd and pyke were virtually annonymous although can have good days.

As Walker is playing a bit more then i imagine we will try and extend his loan til end of the season. Burgess will probably return.

Leo Smith will be back from Llandudno, and what appears to be a relatively successful loan spell, maybe he can be put into the front 3?

definitely another striker needed though, especially with the 2 season long loaners Pyke and Hinds not doing much. hopefully some FA Cup money will go towards that
If we are seeing Leo Smith as some sort of saviour then it’s looking very bad.

It is up front though that we need consistency and goals so two quality reliable players would do very nicely. That could make the difference between not being in the play offs and bring in the play offs , possibly even the higher play off places. Top spot is a pipe dream and we have little chance.

I don’t think Walker reads the game well enough and seems to be in a daze half the time. JMD isn’t involved enough and goes missing, it was obvious again last night that the side are missing a clinical finisher and haven’t got a forward thinking midfielder with a bit of composure, still we are winning which is a good thing when we aren’t playing well. Get 2 players in in January and I still think we make top 3 just hope we don’t leave ourselves too much to do after the double header with Salford over Xmas/new year COYR

This. Capable of some great goals such as his strike against Tranmere but also very selfish and guilty of missing sitters. Also not getting into a Vale team who are struggling massively for goals.

Hey Congy, not sure how a defensive midfield will improve the chances we create.
I also dont agree with the need to have a defensive midfield as we need to play further up the pitch in the CM area. Pearson and Lawlor are more than capable defensively
