Great to hear positive reports. Summerfield is becoming key by the sounds of things. Onwards and upwards.

There are three strikers in our league I'd have in a heartbeat, neither of which are probably even remotely possible. (Bonne, Rowe, Rooney in that order of preference)

Daniel Udoh and Glen Taylor are scoring in NLN, but both would be a risk.

Probably need a L2 striker who isn't getting games but has a proven track record. Who that would be though I have no idea.

Great win and performance, For a change I really enjoyed the game, Gateshead are a good side, However, We deserved to win, All the team played well, I am not going to single out anyone they all should have credit. Complete improvement from the game against Hartlepool

Summerfield is the best player we've had in non league since keates, pure class. Always looking to play and walker looks so much better when he plays.

Rutherford as always worked his socks off and makes things happen. I'm a fan of his.

We're a centre forward short of being real title contenders

Looking at some of the lower teams who we could raid in January I would take a look at Paul McCallum of Eastleigh or Omar Bugiel of Bromley if available and willing to come north.

Honest appraisal by Gateshead manager. Not often you hear opposing managers talk so frankly.

Good performance not perfect. But so much better than tuesday. Having wide men who actually moved made a world of difference from tuesday. Hopefully give jmd a kick up the arse. Summerfield oozez class

Crucially the two wide strikers worked much harder than Pyke and JMD on Tuesday. They closed defenders down higher up the pitch ( as did Holroyd) and prevented Gateshead from making us sit back ( as did Chesterfield and Hartlepool). Well done to Ricketts for changing players and tactics.

Steady back 5 and then a more balanced midfield obviously reaps the rewards.
I am not convinced Walker/Wright combo works whereas Summerfield/Young compliment one of these much better.

Not convinced the front 3 worked but we know if Rutherford provides the energy then things do improve attacking wise. Sum of the parts improved today.

The obvious comment is that we still need to make the changes in Jan to improve the quality. Next home game going to be interesting.
