Lainton is a competent shot stopper but I would never give him more than a 6 because he NEVER comes out to command his box and take a cross. A keeper that did this would relieve a lot of pressure and encourage the defence to hold a higher line.

Yes and rightly so.Been dropped a number of times this season but then brought back a game later and then delivers another 3-4 lazy performances on the trot then gets dropped again.

If we are going for the title we just can't afford to play this idle bone.This league isn't for weak players who just show for the odd free kick and a fancy flick here and there.Rutherford jumps over his head all day long

SR's insistence on playing him so often is my only criticism of him so far but hopefully the penny has dropped

I think it was a team performance today, will give them all a 7 because of this. Although special mention for Summerfield and Ruthers who made the difference.

Lainton : 7 dealt with everything becoming a great signing.
Roberts: 6 had better games but ok.
Lawlor:7 how did Salford let him go.
Pearson:7 so reliable just wish he tone down complaining to the ref business.
Jennings:7 best game for a while him and Rutherford worked well going well.
Walker: 6 composed on the ball he can just cut out the silly mistakes would make a great signing.
Young: 7 really starting to influence games now.
Summerfield: 8 made all the difference switched play intelligently hope a remains fit.
Rutherford: 8 mom supberb starting to have the confidence to take people on, work rate contributes so much to the team.
Holroyd: 6 thought him and Beavon linked up well first half but with no reserve team needs game time.
Beavon: 7 Constance nuisance to their defence pleasure to see him going about his business.
Subs;
Deverdics: 5 must be impressing in training, don’t see what he gives to the team.
Wright: 5 not long enough really but generally Akil has got th use the ball better when he has possession.
Pyle: 6 I think the week long rest will do him good looks a bit jaded.

Huge improvement in performance, just showed how Important Summerfield is the team.
