Instead he smashed it into some players.
3. He reminds me of Silvio Spann. The worst ever Wrexham player.

You maybe correct but at Spann was given numerous games in his favoured position. He hasn't done himself any favours here, but apart from a couple games in centre mid he has played wide left and a few cameo appearances wide right. Pre-season it looked like SDR wanted him as his number 10 and he may have stepped up to the plate but injury ruined that. Currently he is useful to have around because he can do a job in midfield, most attacking areas and left back if needed. SDR will decide if he needs to free up his wages, but I don't see any harm having him around, similarly to when popular opinion on here was to get rid of Ruthers and Carra.

I’ve seen worse players than Spann! How’s about Bakare?

I don't buy this 'favoured position' business. If he's an attacking midfielder and he's asked to play out wide, then that to me is close enough. It should give him the chance to show his attacking passing skills. It's not like he was playing centre half.

I dread to think what he would be like at LB. Though he would probably be good at hoofing it down the line.

Bakare wasn't on a 3 year big money (presumably) contract.

On the playing front they were similar. You cant say bakare was worse.

I can't make a convincing argument against Summerfield/Young/Walker being our best midfield, although I'm not entirely convinced it is. What I do strongly believe is that Walker is the weakest link in that trio and we must get someone better for the position in January.

"Brad Walker
Some poor touches at times from the holding midfielder put pressure on the back four, but took his goal well. 6" - Rob Griffiths, Daily Post

That sums it up perfectly. We've got half a season left with a once-in-11 seasons opportunity to get promoted. Now is not the time to leave this vital role to someone perceived to have potential.

If the role can be filled with someone of the quality of Young and Summerfield then our misfiring attack will look like world-beaters.

Best midfield here since the days of Harris, Keats, Fowler in my opinion. We need to strengthen up top and secure Walker for the rest of the season
