I think there will be comings and departures in January as we must strengthen to consolidate for a promotion push.

Yes I think we need to ship out those who aren’t making the grade, Hinds, Deverdivks, Tharme as an easy starter for ten

The volume of loan players at our club is a sad indictment of our youth set up not being good enough.

I’d rather we used the loan system if our own players aren’t good enough but a sustainable future is to produce our own but it's chicken and egg scenario.

I see it more as a means to an end. That end being promotion.
The football league is then the foundation for future development of our own players and a functioning reserve team but the loan market can still be used to enhance the contracted players wherever we are.

True, but that cannot happen overnight. Plus we are faced with the risk of clubs higher up the pyramid poaching our better youth players.

IMHO, sign Lainton up in Jan, which would be one less loanee on the starting sheet. Not yet convinced about Walker - he blows hot and cold - and whilst Beavon is good, he's no spring-chicken. The other loanees are outside our price bracket.

Think we need quality in the midfield and upfront. Might be better to bring in more loanees and then sign permanent additions during the summer.

It will be very interesting to see how SDR manages it all. If he gets it right we have a great opportunity to kick-on and win the league; however, get it wrong and we will probably be in the play-off lottery.

Totally agree. We must be realistic.
