Ruthers i think deserves a mention of his own, into the limelight and out of the shadows. He doesn't always get the full credit that he deserves yet he shouldn't be under estimated. He works tirelessly and you can see his passion for the team and club, he is a grafter and doesn't give up. Today everyone played well for sure but i was really pleased for him to get his goal and assist.

Long time RP scapegoat, but great pro, so tidy on the ball, just wish he would gain a bit more confidence and run at players in the box.

His close control is actually very good but he is in such a rush to do everything that he doesn’t think about what he’s doing at times. Complete grafter though, one of the most hard working players I’ve ever seen play for us.

Of the very few occasions I watch us play he does stand out for his workrate, and I leave the ground wondering why he is regularly criticised....

Ruthers and Beavs are two of the hardest workers we have. Both should be starting every game for me but Sam is picking horses for courses and I'm more than happy with that.
It isn't that he doesn't know his best 11, it's that he is taking a good look at our opponents and selecting the players he thinks are best equipped to take them on. Whether that's by using pace or physicality determines who starts.
