Firstly, well done Samuel, you have done yourself, your backroom staff and the club proud. To echo moyn's thoughts, just keep doing it for another 6 months and we will be where we all would like to be in the first instance.

Secondly, re being poached, the Wrexham board have continually allowed managers to talk to clubs when Lincoln have stoutly refused. The contract for the Lincoln management team is very attractive and will take some matching for League 1& 2 clubs.
It's all about relationships, talking to other clubs should only be allowed at the end of a season. Wrexham gave Sam a chance but I understand it was always believed he would move into management. We were just first to knock the door. The fact that he played for Wales made it attractive and a safe bet. Not too much damage to his reputation if it went a bit pear shaped.

The fact that a number of others had tried and failed also made it attractive.

We'll see, but we should resist any approaches, if they come, until the end of the season.

It can be prevented, but you often end up with a very unhappy player (or manager in this case). But if there’s a high buyout clause, you can prevent a lot of that unhappiness as it’s then the other clubs ‘fault’ if they don’t meet the buyout. And if they do meet it you then got plenty to invest in a better replacement.

Yes I was one of those that was not happy with Sam's appointment but it looks like egg on face time yet again !

Is it me or is Sam very unassuming? I barely hear from him and when I do it’s honest enough. Granted we’ve been at the top of the league - which helps without doubt.
