FA Cup 3rd round Saturday is my favourite football weekend of the year and its about time we were in it again.

I've got everything crossed for a home draw against another non-league team as that represents our best chance of getting through.

As we don't concede many we have a real shot at a decent run this year if Sam wants it. Are we this year's Lincoln?

This. Although as a back up I would Sunderland at home for TV. 1st choice has to be a home tie against lower opposition.

An absolute low ranked minnow at home in R2 - nothing matters more than getting through to R3 where the potential real big money is to be made.

Guiseley at home - just to beat Bignott & James would be nice.

R2 draw is on BBC Monday night 7 pm prior to the Oldham televised match.

Cracking performance that, exactly what was expected of the lads. Poor 1st half, took us down to their level but too much for them second half and looked the much better side and proved it with the goals. Not our best performance but they didn’t come close to scoring. Besides a decent shot near the end that was going in that Lawlor stuck his head into for.

Great performance, nice little club tbf to them, onto the 2nd round, Guiseley at home please.

Looking at the teams left in the draw for R2 - this is where it becomes twitchy bum time.
Lots of higher league placed teams and yet.......we are just one victory away from a potential massive pay day.
Got to hope for a home draw.

What's the chances of ending up with an away tie at Walsall and the return of the laughing gnome ?

I just hope we can somehow steer clear of a crap draw - say Accrington away - good on their own pitch and from a higher level with miniscule glamorous appeal.

If miracles happen then Guiseley, Southport, Stockport or something similar at home - can't ask for much more.
