Our scouting in Wales can't be good enough or our training of young players not up to scratch. This list is embarrassing for a club of our stature ( 1 lad in those squads!) who put in more cash than a lot of these clubs.

Time for the board to wake up!
I take it you know the north and south squads have to come from Welsh academies!

More rubbish, you must try harder as this wasn't the case this year.

Of course, our club slaos away moans about not funding the CoE properly because other clubs take our lads and it's not worth it, so they decide to do the same to the likes of Bala & Bangor who are doing a better job with less.

The hypocrisy and logic of the board at times is unfathomable.

Well done to those lads.

Also highlights how quickly WPL clubs have caught up in the past 10 years since a big push for them all to have structured academies. Not bad considering those clubs rely heavily on volunteers and some put in as little as ฃ30k a season which comes from a Welsh FA grant.

Just highlights the excuses a little more.
WPL caught up? I don't think it has. I'm fairly confident most WPL would get spanked if they played National league level. Don't get me started on their pathetic academies, stealing six year olds from their local clubs to play for these so called 'academies'- They're a joke mate.

I was taking in terms of academies, yeah they must be that pathetic that we've 'stolen' lads from Bangor, Bala, Gap Connahs Quay, Airbus and Cefn Druids over the past 3 years that I know of.

We're a joke mate.

I'm talking about local teams like Mold, Buckley, Flint etc....My lad plays for mold under 7 and they've got a brilliant team, all of them local lads. Now Connah's Quay and Airbus 'academies' are sniffing about, three have joined 'Airbus'. It's a joke and goes against the whole idea of playing for your local team. Football is ruined from grass roots up.

Fair enough if Everton, City or Liverpool come knocking but Airbus, Connah's Quay, Bala or Rhyl? You're having a laugh aren't you? Even the big clubs should leave the youngsters until they're about ten/eleven imo

The number of lads who've moved from those clubs you've mentioned to Everton, City and Liverpool even ourselves is impressive and is good for Welsh football and gives them an opportunity to make a living out of the game. Although I agree on your point about leaving them until they're in secondary school.

Anyway, you seem to hate everything WPL for some reason.

The best bit is, we could have joined the structure temporarily while down in non league and had access to the same grants. Now we hear that some teams are facing explosion or had to leave leagues because we're non league.

It's nice to know we have so many with a finger on the pulse, with them giving people incorrect information too.

How come a lad from Wrexham is named in the North regional Squad and another from Chester in the South regional Squad?
.
It was the case in the past, it isn't anymore.
