He wouldn't get us out of the league he can't even get in 2nd division side Struggling Port Vales team

As to the tunnel has it been said we have paid a lot of money for it?

It may have been done for free by a fan Street artist. & it looks fine inspirational to me.

I don't think bringing back former players is a good idea. We need fresh, new faces. With the money from Ward and the FA Cup run, we should be able to bring in some fire power in January, if not sooner. We need at least 2 strikers.

Default Re: Quigley

Quigley came on for Vale from the subs bench yesterday for the last 11 minutes.

From the BBC site.

Substitute Scott Quigley missed a great chance to earn Vale a point, heading straight into the grasp of Vigouroux, as Swindon held on to move up to 14th position.

Not sure if it's the players or the formation we play - always think a team needs two good strikers working together - sticking one man up front on his lonesome never seems to work. Yesterday Orient's front pair of 9 Bonne and 19 Koroma showed excellent movement and pace at times.

In comparison we often lumped high balls up towards Beavon who has been pretty impressive in the air but with his back to goal against a 6' 2 defender he got little change.
Also little supply is coming in from the flanks - having said that I still feel we were robbed yesterday - very unlucky not to have scored but with 4 minutes to go they hadn't really threatened us all second half - couldn't see it coming.

Could Quigley be the answer ? he would give us some more physicality and know how down the middle - as others have said, we need more than just one though - what the hell has happened to Holroyd ?

You want to give Quigley £104,000 a year and pay £100,000 for the privilege of doing so? Hahahahaha

Quigley would prove more of a threat than I've seen from Holroyd or Fondop for the majority of the season and often in his loan spell last season was a one man attacking outlet as we were that negative. Flip side is if we have 2k a week to chuck at someone from now until the end of the season I would hope for someone better than Quigley. Also, are the same people stating someone not good enough for lowly Port Vale forgetting where our very good for the national league Goalkeeper was from?!

Unfortunately though Quigley is not available so why waste our time with that option ? Might as well persue George Miller. Did well when he left us for Bury and now at Bradford City on loan for season. Not played. He is just as likely to be released/ sent back by Bradford ?

Miller would be a good option in my opinion with a big physical striker playing alongside him.

I doubt if we will be able to capture a prolific striker in Jan so we need two less prolific who together can chip in with say 5-10 goals each between January and end of the season.
