It looks very likely Quigley will be available in January. Port Vale's chairman has stated he will provide around £400K for January and that will surely drop Quigley down the pecking order. He can get more game time with us and Blackpool must be wondering, at his age whether they are going to get anything out of him.

I'm not convinced we could get more out of him than Fondop, but we would end up with both, so its possibly worth a go.

End of the day its an option and hes been here before. We know he can do the business up front but that's got to be with the right partner like when he started with Boden. Whats the risk was IMHO when partnered with Holroyd he went completely off the boil.

If we could get him on loan for the rest of the season then I would go for it providing we are still going for someone like Cheek or Rhead. You have to think Holroyd is going in January so the reality is we may need more than one striker in.

In fact I wouldn't pay the £35k that Blackpool originally paid.

If he is available for peanuts then yeah, get him here. He can't be any worse. But don't splash silly cash on him.

This is my view. I like Quigley and he would be an improvement, but he's not a 'break the bank' player.

You don't get a say in how the money is spent, but you do get a say in who spends it. Make sure you vote next time, and sell you're raffle tickets because even if it was a mistake, stopping the income won't help.

If they sent him out on a season long loan in the second year of a two year deal then it appears they just want rid and would be happy to have him off the wage bill. Could probably get him without a fee if we really wanted him.
