Re: Big Den?
He is but apparently ( can't confirm) he doesnt have long to run on his contract with them.
He has had a few good coaching roles( including working with Barrow) but the T&T job was his first managerial role. I dont know how much he knows about this level, but i can see him being a good motivator, and with Barrow at his side, could be an interesting option. Again another FAW coaching graduate, so will have good technical knowledge. I think he would be affordable and realistic ( unlike Ferguson) and would get the fans excited. Like others have said it would still be a gamble any appointment, pros and cons, but he would be my 1st choice at this stage. |

Football Managment is a ruthless game though. Look at the recent Askey situation. He was, by all accounts on here, loyal to Macc and stayed with them last season until he’d got the job done and only left for Shrewsbury thereafter. Has a poor start and Slops bin him off at an obscenely early opportunity. A man they knew was loyal and supposedly hardworking is now visiting the jobcentre. Also, how many of us would have been baying for Ricketts to be sacked if we were now sitting 4th from bottom, and not top? As many that are now baying for blood now he's been disloyal, I would bet. In business, employees are absolutely expendable and and a persons loyalty should reserved for themselves and their families future, just as business has a duty to it’s profits, shareholders and commercial future. So I don’t blame Ricketts for wanting to better his himself, though if he has gone about in an underhand way it says a lot for his ruthlessness self interest. If. Turning down a job that offers, possibly, a doubling of anyones salary is surely hard to turn down if you have a family to support? In whatever walk of life an whatever the numbers involved. |

Re: Big Den?
Not for me...Askey or let Barrow choose one, if he doesn't fancy it.
