Be my number one target too! After his nightmare at Ipswich he should definitely be approached! He’d work well with the team already in place! Worked miracles at the Slops!

Didn't Askey only have something like 2 players signed on a week before the season they went up?

He got lucky, things just clicked with the players he managed to get his hands on

Why would Hurst take a job with us when he could walk into a league 2 club in a division with 4 promotion play offs.

Askey old assistant, Steve Watson, seems to be doing a good job with Gateshead, although whether or not he wants to move away from the North East again is a factor, although obviously he lived towards this way once upon a time. I can see him going to Hartlepool.
As key is fine by me but only with GB as his assistant and Darlington if he doesn't want them he doesn't get job.

I can't say why but I have reservations about Askey.
The more I hear it, the more I am liking Dennis Lawrence with Barrow.
Crazy to appoint another rookie but the last two worked out fine and I'm sure Big Den has lots of contacts.

Don’t think GB and Dennis worked together at Wigan , however they both have a mutual friend in Roberto Martinez so there’s a link there already .

I'd like to see DL take charge to be honest.
