Askey seems the ideal candidate and should certainly be spoken with.

Askey old assistant, Steve Watson, seems to be doing a good job with Gateshead, although whether or not he wants to move away from the North East again is a factor, although obviously he lived towards this way once upon a time. I can see him going to Hartlepool.

Ben I can certainly read thank you, not that I need to explain but wanted to start an Askey thread to get all views in one place rather than across several threads, rather than sarcasm if only you`d had the foresight or intelligence to think of it for yourself? Probably not likely though.

to be fair though has anyone questioned that Askey has been interviewed twice and not got the job either time? why?? there must be a good reason behind it somewhere
