It was nice to see we have a player in Walker who will drive st the opposition and put them on the back foot. We have too many players who always look to play the ball backwards. Beavon played well too and is clever.

Lawlor and Pearson kept out the Newport strikers very well tonight. How Beavon is winning headers against players who are taller than him still baffles me but hey ho. Rutherford looked like he wanted to play the full 90. Dissapointing substitutions.... but the bench doesnt have much to offer in talent at the moment.

Walker was ace and needs to be signed if we can get him!

Still need a striker asap. We haven't scored in the last 3 games now.

Beavon deserves great credit for his efforts but I can’t help think the problem with our lack of goals (aside from some very bad luck and very good tonight) is delivery. Count the number of times a ball gets chipped towards centre half in a game (they all do it from all angles) and it leads to nothing.

Compare with how dangerous we look when playing down channels and it confuses me why we persist with this and have done through successive managers.

Apart from that well done. Great effort on and off the pitch.#UTST
