Good solid performance tonight. Restricted a side going well and didnt look out of our depth.

I think the words practice, practice and practice need to be taken to the training ground.
It wasn’t bad luck we didn’t score, it wasn’t their keeper had a worldy it was down to the basics of not being able to shoot. Was it 1 shot in target in 96 minutes?

Can we play the same for the replay though?

Count the number of times a ball gets chipped towards centre half in a game (they all do it from all angles) and it leads to nothing.

Compare with how dangerous we look when playing down channels and it confuses me why we persist with this and have done through successive managers.

Newport underperformed especially in mid-field. Expect a much improved performace at Rodney Parade with Matty Dolan and Joss Labadie fit.

There is no doubt Newport can play better than that but I thought midfield was closed down along with Amond etc kept quiet all game rather than underperformed..We had a good chance there and would have won on another day...Lad from Bristol City livened it up but he was the substitute...County hold their line well at back...Good battle though and tough replay ahead

One cleared off the line, one scrambled away by the keeper and one against the bar.

The bar isnt the target, the scramble was off their player and off the line isnt in either. Next.
