Proud of the fight and character we showed tonight given all the backdrop. Fighting chance of getting through if we play like we did and find some cutting edge. Concerned Newport won't play as badly again though. Interesting JMD didn't even make the bench tonight

Thought the Jennings for Rutherford sub was very odd again and Paul looked rightly upset to be taken off when having a good game. Back 4 superb again, Beavon tireless, Grant a but rusty but got into some great positions.

We were the better team today. Pearson and Lawlor did well to shut Matt and Amond down. I didn't understand the Rutherford substitution- he and Summerfield created numerous chances.

I was not impressed with what I saw of Fondop.

Grant looks dangerous but we need someone to start putting the ball in the net.
