So you think the budget now is far less than it was in AMs last year of management?

Its also been said its how you spend the budget and people seem to have forgotten the nightmare players he recruited.

If anyone thinks this is a good move they are going to be sadly disappointed very soon. If AM had any respect for this club he would not apply.

And he did the honourable thing and left. During his time here, he was lacking in the ability to recruit, but as manager elsewhere to gain experience, and Barrow alongside him, not so sure it'd be as big a problem. He certainly wouldn't be my first choice or even in the top 5, but I wouldn't be deadset against it. He buys into the Wrexham fan ownership and understands what the club has been through.

He has a lot of time for the fans and wouldn't be against him coming back in some capacity, just not as first team manager.

I understand the affinity with Morrell, but you can't run a business on sentiment.

The vacancy that exists is the key position of first team manager and it needs to be filled with the type of person who has the ability to take this club forward.

I'm not sure Morrell is that kind of person; along with many other names currently being bandied about. I hope the board do what they have been doing, and instead of going with the popular choice, take their time to find the person who's right for both the job, and the club.

In the meantime we are in a safe pair of hands with GB who seems motivated and committed to keep things steady for the time being.

I totally dislike Ricketts and feel that the way he handled his departure from us was both unprofessional and uncalled for, but I equally can see why Shrewsbury came calling in the first place. As much as it pains me to say it, I can see him being very successful in management in years to come which is testament to the recruitment process the club adopted.

Don't waste your time Al. Its absurd that people have such hatred and a lack of respect for our most successful manager in recent times. His budget was cut in half and yet people expected the same quality of squad that Saunders assembled that almost put the club out of business. Bonkers, backwards logic.

Most of the players were already here playing in a system that worked. Morrell kept the ball rolling to be fair, but when he had to roll the ball himself, it stopped.

He says he feels he has improved as a manager but in my opinion his biggest weakness was not picking players on merit and too much of the old pals act went on.End of the day he left Wxm by mutual consent and was sacked by Tamworth. Was a good player but as a manager no thanks as just can't see him taking us forward.
