But also promotion..... would of been my first choice when Ricketts came in but would of wanted him and Flowers at the time as a pair.

People say Askey took him so many yrs blah blah, but no manager can guarantee instant success even with money, it tool Nigel Clough 10yrs to get Burton promoted a club who had never been in the league, but they are still up there Forest Green for all their money tools quite a few seasons, the problem we have now is we have no stability at management level it's like a lottery club hoping to pick the right manager season after season, with only one position to aim for automatic promotion the chances of achieving it are very slim.

But having said that most clubs who come down aren't down here long, Tranmere, Torquay at one time Grimsby, Mansfield, and even Lincoln, now Leyton Orient after one bad season are looking good for going up, whereas we stumble from one crisis of management season after season.

Fans moan about Morrells management but who's done better than him since????

Run for cover JND, run.

No one has come close and that really pisses some fans off for some bizarre reason, so they ignore it and pretend it didn't happen. The fact he did what he did when Saunders the snake left (that's right isn't it, every manager who leaves for another club is a snake?) should mean he is at least considered. But I doubt it.

I had to repost it the original I deleted by accident, I'm not running Phil because you and I know it's true impatience has cost us down here expecting instant success, all those who are saying Askey is not good enough are talking through their Anus, least he didn't leave till the end of the season like the midget.

And the team the snake has taken over he signed a low of those players and their striker has scored 5 in 6 games impatience their expecting instant success after just missing out on the play offs. The snake won't last long even Mellon was sacked after getting them promotion.

Phils A A Saunders left for Doncaster it was a no brainer as the WST hated him and it was a step up I've no real problem with Sammy Snake going except for the underhand way he did it, but he left with plenty of time for us to replace him as for Keates hometown club or not I will never forgive him at a crucial time of the season.

But back on Morrell he loves this club and always tried his best with little money to spend and did the decent thing when he felt unwanted.
