I think they need a decent knowledge of this level.
As with any job then experience at the right level is crucial.

However its just as important that the new man has the vision to take us forward and not backwards like some previous managers.

Can I remind everyone that Barrow is an employee of the club and its the board who should be making decisions, not him. Ask advice yes, get recommendations obviously but lets not have the tail wagging the dog.

Influence isn't the same as deciding , the Board will make decisions on someones influence whoever comes in .
