Graham Barrow has said he doesn't want to be the manager - (unless he can be persuaded otherwise) but would prefer to continue in the assistant role.

He might have been the skipper of the ship all along until now with Ricketts as the overseer but reliant on the old experienced head.

It might be a case of finding a new manager who can slot in and work alongside Barrow - this is where the suggestion that the Lawrence option would fit that criteria.

It would be a travesty if we were to lose the services of Barrow - I hope he can be retained but a new man might want his own backroom staff brought in.
GB has two options - either apply for the number one role or sit in his current position and hope it all turns out well and the new manager / board want to retain him.

The suggestion that a new manager is appointed 'on condition, he retains GB is perhaps not the way to conduct business.

Don't think it's that bad an idea. Rickets was appointed on that basis.
The club are looking for Stability and retaining a good back room staff is seen to be important.

Just add a label like this one to every calendar - leaving buyers to stick them on if they wish to do so.

I personally think that one condition the New manager must accept is we keep GB and backroom staff. I honestly think GB is the brains behind the team !

Agree with this, and if we are to believe what we have been told GB will be fully aware of the targets we have for January and the plans for the remainder of the season.
IN GB and CD there are two blokes with the interests of the club at heart. The Board would be daft if they didn't involve them in the recruitment process.

I can't prove it, but whilst I can see GB working with a rookie manager, I'm struggling to see him working with someone who's been around the same block like JA.
