Lawrence stays put as Soca Warriors coach - Trinidad Guardian
Bet Victor just couldn't get our strikers scoring

If the appointment is confirmed, we should get behind the new manager.
Don't get the love in for Askey even after his one season success. He was able to rely on the best midfield general in the league in Danny Whittaker who pulled the strings and took over the assistants role. He also had more money available in the January window to get players in to help them over the line.
Jumped ship when he was told that there was no more money available in Division 2.
Obviously couldn't work with Danny Coyne, a fully qualified coach and I would suggest that one of the reasons we won't appoint him is that he wouldn't work within our structure.
Askey is a good conference manager given the right conditions but that appears to be his level. Pretty confident we'll do better than him.

Its hardly a love in, some just see him as less of a risk and a better option. And even if it was, he's just won this league with Macclesfield. You do a good job of talking him down but winning this league with Macclesfield wouldn't have been easy, even with Whittaker, who isn't all that anyway.

Just heard its Askey. We shall just have to wait and see whether its Askey, Lawrence or Tom Dick or Harry.

Compensation surely be minimal as he's out of contract in little more than 5 weeks. sure!y depending on how much they owe him we could come to some agreement
