Given that the Club have announced that there will be no announcement of who the new Manager is before Saturday, can one of the mods change the title of this thread?

He's got more than the last 2 appointments tbf Phil, but yes any appointment is a risk. Let's hope he can get the strikers here that we are hoping for. I firmly believe they have already been identified by GB and his extensive list from last seasons work at Fylde.

Joey Jones backing him in the leader today if that means anything.
Nope, means nothing. What else would he say.

We're in great position in the league and for me this is a gamble too far. He's never played at this level and I have doubts he knows the league, teams and players that well if at all.

I'm extremely nervous about this, this could kill the current board like the Mills appointment did to Horne and Bircham who both scuttled off into the sunset without a care in the world.

Tick off your Wrexham cliche bingo card. Cheap like the last two who have moved on up. I’ve got no idea if he’ll be a success but whether he is or not will not be down to that.

Bizarre!

Loose lips by his mate at the club nothing bizarre about that, but I should think the board wouldn't be pleased.

Remember loose lips sink ships.

Eh? Keates played in this league for years. So that's not true. Saunders coached in the Prem, for Wales and it took him over 2 years to get it right and a shed load of cash.
Let not dress this up as anything other than a massive gamble.

Hoping I'm wrong.

Let's be honest about this....do you think Mills or Ricketts came cheap?

DK yes quite probably was but the other 2 certainly weren't.

If they were identified during his spell at Fylde why didn't he get Ricketts to sign them in the Summer? Is Fondop a Barrow signing?

Let's all give him a chance. Wouldn't have been my first choice tbh but I think the working relationship between him and GB will be important. They already know each other so can hit the ground running. This is important as he steps in straight away. It's firmly up to the players now to perform like they have been doing.
