Guess it depends on what the gaffer says. But if you watch him, he is always looking to play it back. Maybe low confidence?

The difference is Roberts was playing RB when Carrington was playing in midfield

Carra had the advantage of not having to play with Carra in midfield

He rarely gave Roberts an option in the middle or dropped deep to get the call. When Carra swapped with summerfield we started playing much better

I do rate carrington though, just not as a midfielder

When everyone is fit and available I believe the strongest back four is;

Carrington, Smith, Pearson, Jennings

So to answer your question - Carrington lol

I think Lawlor has done a great job since he was signed. I would keep him with Pearson on tuesday.

Roberts is the better defender but Carra plays the ball better.

I think defensive ability is more important at this level so my vote's with Roberts.
