atmosphere
i thought the atmosphere was a bit flat today even when we went two up i know it has been a turbulent week but i was surprised at how quiet it was good to see the team put in a good performance given the week they have been through keep it up lads

Re: atmosphere
Last weeks attendance was 5,295 with 420 away fans following on from the Orient match.
Two big games with significant away followings. Last weeks pre match count down included Yma O Hyd and 'Heroes' played at a welcoming high volume to set up the match nicely. Today's attendance was 4,105 with a mere 56 away fans - it takes two sets of fans to really set up an atmosphere - not detracting from those away fans who made the very long trip on a horrible windy wet day. A bit like after the Lord Mayors Show perhaps - numbers down - Newport on Tuesday, another home game next Saturday, a busy fixture list over xmas looming and xmas itself which will test finances for many. |

Anyone spotted leaving early?

Many left early - to take their place in the ques for the post match Salford away tickets. |
Re: atmosphere
I think their was less in the ground than stated probably under 4000 season ticket holders are counted anyway, I noticed the Techend wasn't as packed and the Yale and Moan Road had lots of spaces

Re: atmosphere
As mentioned before- when we get down to the 4000 mark we have the real fans in so there are no groans and the vast majority actually believe that Carrington is a good player :)
Many reasons for absentees but still 4000 on a horrendous day shortly before Christmas is perfectly acceptable in my book. I didn’t think it was particularly flat and since the snake I believe we are creating a siege mentality which ,for me, is good. |
Re: atmosphere
Flat compared to the Newport game but that's the best atmosphere I've witnessed in years. The next home game in the league is Salford so I'm expecting a bouncing atmosphere for that.
