Fondop appears to be a waste of space. We got Hinds Newport got Semenyo from Bristol City. Rutherford for all his effort is not a goal scorer. Holroyd appears to be finished. Drew has been a huge disappointment.Beavon if signed as a goal scorer is definitely not that. Pyke flatters to deceive. For me too many bad decisions made in signing these players or our system of play just doesn't suit goal scoring, maybe the latter as Boden is managing to score goals at Gateshead. Our team/ tactics is geared to be hard to beat. Possibly not good enough to be promoted and definitely not good enough for L2 if by some chance we do get promoted. Have my doubts that the defence as is would also struggle in L2. Hope we go out and get at least two higher quality players in January, whether they will fit in to our system is a different matter.

Just read the OTT nervous breakdown from some on here, wow a thrashing by a team a league higher than us and near the top of it, a player makes a poor tackle and he is hammered as if he did it on purpose, he's made a mistake that many players have made, but even if he hadn't been sent off we were always going to be up against it as they had important players back tonight and we had players missing.

Simply put we missed our big chance in the home game and caused through an ongoing problem since Moult left no strikers worthy of the word.

The difference having 2 really good strikers makes is evident as Newport has them and it's why they are near the top of their league.

What we need is to get a manager in sharpish and one with experience no more apprentices running our first team.

But having said all this we were the underdogs at home and we have done well to get as far as we have, let's not suddenly get on the players backs the negativity is non productive.

Also worth mentioning Day's save (again) at 0-0. Clearly too good for league 2.

Big couple of months coming up which will make or break our season. Appoint the right manager and get a couple of quality strikers in spending every available penny we have (above the budgeted figure) and people will start to believe we may get somewhere.

Crazy to spend everything we have, far too much of a risk for a club in our position!

You haven’t been able to jump in 2 footed for about 20 years now, why did Young suddenly think it was allowed? It’s all on him tonight. Saying that, it’s still only about a quarter as moronic as the Wedgebury one against Tranmere last season.

I'd say we are well off for this league.

You do realise we have other overheads? Ground maintenance being a big one, and the Bamford suite being refurbished etc etc etc.

The sending off was obviously the key moment. Then the goal at the start of the second half effectively sealed matters. Your support was easily the best at RP this season and genuinely wish you well for the rest of the campaign. The National League is a hell of a league to get out of, as you guys know, but you are a ‘proper’ club and wish you well. Good luck for the rest of the season and fingers crossed we will meet you in League One in the not too distant.
