Wasn't Pearson having to be treated for a cut eye though after? Surely that proves some contact was made whether instigated by him or the opposition.

I think both players involved were booked which indicates to me that the referee saw the incident. However, if its fighting or violent conduct then theoretically both should have gone as well.

The first goal is also a Carrington own goal. He's looking the opposite way for the whole time the corner is coming in and it goes in off him when it would have gone wide.

Pearson also admits he told the players to conserve energy and not get any silly yellow or red cards at 2-0 down and accepts that's frustrating for fans to hear but we have to look at what's coming up. Unusually refreshing and understandable albeit as a fan your gut reaction is you want to see the team giving it everything they have every minute of every game. Barrow also talks about squad depth and trying to improve that.

No idea who said they saw a 'clear elbow' and another saying 'punched' on the commentary but 100% did not happen in the video clip.
